Iceland

Iceland

Iceland is an island country nestled in the North Atlantic Ocean, particularly in the Mid-Atlantic Range. The island is replete with active volcanoes, and the land itself is active, causing the landscape to continuously shift. Iceland is a work in progress, with its volcanic forces shaping and reshaping the islands, offering a wealth of natural attractions from lava flow to erupting geysers such as the Golden Circle. There are also hot springs that appear, moving fissures on the ground, and glaciers that grind across ice slopes.

Aside from playing in the snow, Iceland offers different experiences for the tired and weary traveler. There are bohemian villages that you can explore, vibrant cities with exciting nightlife, and dolphins and whales for tourists who love exploring the seas.

Iceland is a great place for backpackers and independent travelers because it is so easy to get around once you are there. You can go from cove to cove by boat, or you can also go to any petrol station and ask a driver on break for a hitch. You can also rent a car or a motorcycle to tour the islands, although this is not advisable if you are traveling on a small budget. Finally, there is the bus network and tram for a more structured exploration of the islands.

If you are looking to book a trip to Iceland, it is best to go there between the months of May and July because of the beautiful weather. If you plan to stay in the northern or eastern regions, however, the climate is better and you will have lots to do during the peak months of June to August.
