data shows that more Indians are planning domestic trips, involving
perhaps a holiday in Goa or New Delhi. In particular, travelers
have been taking their excursions during the earlier part of the

analyzed by the Economic Times presents positive figures from
January to May, 2010.
During this period, air travel within India increased by 22
percent, the news provider reveals. Between January and May,
domestic airlines shuttled approximately 21 million passengers
around the country. In May alone, around 470,000 passengers took to
the skies, presumably headed on holiday in some of the country"s
many beautiful destinations.
It is reported that Jet Airways remains the largest carrier in
the country, as it held a market share of over 26 percent during
the month of May.
